Chihuahua To Obey You?
| Dogs are essentially pack animals.
Even after thousands of years of domestication and living
with human beings, they have retained some of their pack
instincts. One of these retained instincts involves the
concept of a pack leader or alpha dog.
With every pack of dogs there is a pack leader, who is considered
to be superior to all other dogs in the pack.
It is important that right from Day 1, you position yourself
as the Alpha dog.
Once you are successful in establishing
the Alpha-relationship with your dog, making the dog obey
you will turn out to be simple and easy. It is not enough
that you alone be a master to the dog. Ideally, you should
try to station everyone in the family at a superior position
to the dog.
An obedient Chihuahua will be a happier
dog. Plus, it will interact with family and friends in a
nicer way thus encouraging interaction on a regular basis.

2 Common Tips to establish yourself
as the Master

When you and your dog are walking side by side and crossing
a door, you should always cross the door first. Never
let your dog go in before you – make him wait. Your
dog realizes you are the leader and accepts that you should
go first.

Never give your dog tidbits, morsels or table scraps.
It not only encourages bad behavior, it decreases the
value of Food, which is used as a training aid.
By teaching the following commands, you can easily establish
and maintain your authority as the leader of the pack for your
dog. Once the dog is trained in the following commands, make
sure you use them on a regular basis.
